Location

Winthorpe is currently located at Aqueduct Marina on the Middlewich branch of the Shropshire Union canal. The marina is two locks east of Barbridge Junction and two locks south west of the junction for the Trent & Mersey canal at Middlewich. There is an excellent choice of out and back cruising routes from the marina and the start of two of the most popular cruising rings, The Four Counties Ring and The Cheshire Ring, are nearby.
